Detailed description/information

With different hatches throughout the whole season, Kvennan Fly Fishing zone is truly an Eldorado for the fly fishers. With limited licenses available it`s ensured that the fishing pressure don’t get too big, the possibility to catch a 45 cm + grayling is high.

The grayling population in Glomma, and particularly at the Kvennan stretch of the river, is probably the best in Norway. When the average size is around 40 cm, it goes without saying that you are in for some fantastic fishing.

The fact that the conditions for aquatic insects, are best at the Kvennan beats, have been known for a long time. The density of bottom living larvae and nymphs is what makes the trout and especially grayling thrive here. With the strict regulations, the population and size have had the chance to grow rapidly.

The fly fishing zone is one of the best stretches in Glomma, both regarding trout and grayling, with grayling being the moist dominant species. It is 15 kilometers long and both easy to wade and accessible.
